Drontal Chews are recommended for the treatment and control of all gastrointestinal worms in dogs including:

Roundworms
Hookworms
Whipworm
Tapeworms
and control the shedding of cysts of the protozoan Giardia spp. in dogs
Does not control heartworm in dogs

Side effects: In very rare cases mild transient digestive tract disorders (eg vomiting, diarhoea) may occur after treatment

It is essential to weigh dogs before treatment
Fasting prior to dosing is not necessary
Administer the dog's correct dose by mouth

Treatment recommendations
Puppies: Treat at 2, 4, 6, 8 , 10 and 12 weeks of age; then at 4, 5 and 6 months of age
Adults (over 6months): Every 3 months. Every 6 weeks in Hydatid tapeworm infested locations. If Whipworm is a problem, retreat every 6-8 weeks
Pregnant/Lactating Bitches: Treat at mating, then 10 days before whelping and at 2 and 4 weeks after whelping, then every 3 months
